The goal of the #SBC30DayFaith Prayer Journaling Challenge is for us to really push to build our faith through practical obedience to God the entire month of January. Watch this video from Fatima to learn more about it.
We’re using the S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method for the challenge. We’re reading and meditating on a scripture provided by Fatima each day and then break it down using the S.O.A.P. Method.
The S.O.A.P. Method simply stands for:
SCRIPTURE – Write down the scripture in your journal.
OBSERVATION – Go deeper, what does the scripture mean/what is it all about? Look into the chapter the scripture is in as well for context.
APPLICATION – How can you apply it to your life?
PRAYER – Write out a prayer aligned with the scripture and then pray it out loud.
And das it!
So today is DAY 7 of the challenge and I wanna share with you my journal entry. I’m going to commit to sharing my journaling every single day this month so you can join in and follow along my journey.
And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
No quarreling. No arguing. No cursing and cussing. Nothing evil should come from me. We are to walk in a way that deposits happiness and peace into the lives of others. We will live righteously and receive all that God has in store for us when we keep the peace.
I will not fight or argue with anyone, and come to them out of love and peace at all times.
Dear Heavenly Father, Guard my tongue Lord. Strengthen my desire to remain holy at all times Amen!
I pray that this has blessed you as it has blessed me and I challenge you to join me! Click here to learn more and get started TODAY.
Now let’s talk about it. What’s something that you need to implement into your life that will draw you closer to God? Do you use a prayer journal? Sound off in the comments, I wanna hear from you!
P.S. If you thought that this was insanely awesome or made you think about someone that you know, please share this with them!
