The goal of the #SBC30DayFaith Prayer Journaling Challenge is for us to really push to build our faith through practical obedience to God the entire month of January. Watch this video from Fatima to learn more about it.
We’re using the S.O.A.P. Bible Study Method for the challenge. We’re reading and meditating on a scripture provided by Fatima each day and then break it down using the S.O.A.P. Method.
The S.O.A.P. Method simply stands for:
SCRIPTURE – Write down the scripture in your journal.
OBSERVATION – Go deeper, what does the scripture mean/what is it all about? Look into the chapter the scripture is in as well for context.
APPLICATION – How can you apply it to your life?
PRAYER – Write out a prayer aligned with the scripture and then pray it out loud.
And das it!
So today is DAY 9 of the challenge and I wanna share with you my journal entry. I’m going to commit to sharing my journaling every single day this month so you can join in and follow along my journey.
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.
If we stay in peace, only good can come from it. Evilness is not welcome here! Those who are good can’t stand being in the presence of evil-doers. Separate yourself from those who try to throw you off course. Be not deceived!
I will watch out the company that I keep. I will keep my circle filled with people who do good and love the Lord.
Dear Heavenly Father, please reveal to me any evil in my life. Allow me to be a better discerner so that if any evil is in my presence, that I FLEE. Amen!
I pray that this has blessed you as it has blessed me and I challenge you to join me! Click here to learn more and get started TODAY.
Now let’s talk about it. What’s something that you need to implement into your life that will draw you closer to God? Do you use a prayer journal? Sound off in the comments, I wanna hear from you!
P.S. If you thought that this was insanely awesome or made you think about someone that you know, please share this with them!
